2009 Vintage

2009 was an excellent year

The 2009 vintage is composed of 4 red wines (including 3 AOC "Côtes de Sambre et Meuse”), a rosé and a white wine (AOC Vin de pays des jardins de Wallonie – completely sold out already).

"Le Boisé" was voted 2nd "Best Belgian red wine 2009" by the Flemish sommeliers of the VVS

Le Domaine du Ry d’Argent’s "Le Boisé" 2009 vintage (Cabernet Jura and Regent) was voted one of the best Belgian wines of the year (“Beste Belgische Wijnen van het Jaar") at the 2011 awards of the VVS (Vereniging Vlaamse Sommeliers), the professional association of Flemish sommeliers.

For Jean-François Baele’s family, the achievement of being voted one of the best Belgian wines of the year is very promising...

Moderate, but high quality, yields

The poor weather during August 2009 forced us to harvest the grapes very selectively. The grapes were harvested carefully by hand and any bunches spoilt by the bad weather were left on the vine.
