A directly south facing hillside, between the stony ground of the Condroz and the sandy terrain of Hesbaye

The province of Namur has passionate wine producers

Wallonia has not completely forgotten that it was a land of wine. Napoleon had all the vines outside France dug up, yet the province of Namur is today breathing new life into its wine making capacity thanks to a bunch of passionate wine producers.

Grape harvests at the Domaine du Ry d'Argent: hand picked by volunteers

At the Domaine du Ry d'Argent the picking is carried out with surgical precision. The 5 hectares of the Namur vineyard are harvested by hand, by volunteers. “Mechanical harvesting is perfectly possible but in all honesty, the quality of harvesting by hand can’t be equalled.”

Red Wine - Cuvée 2009

La Ronce 2009

Côtes de Sambre et Meuse A.O.C.

This red wine composed of Dornfelder offers a mixture of sweetness and character.

Crimson, opaque, perfumed with notes of blackcurrants and black cherries. A light wine, with intense blackberry and cedar flavours. The dense fruits on the palate are relieved by a fine tannic structure and keen acidity.
The wine is surprising due to its very rich and abundant, yet also refined, character.

Rosé wine - 2009 vintage

Le Rosé 2009

Côtes de Sambre et Meuse A.O.C.

This rosé made with Dornfelder is unique in its kind.

Robe of intense colour. The nose combines fresh and delicate notes of red fruits similar to raspberry. On the palate it is voluptuous and highly quaffable thanks to its freshness. Balanced with good length.

Its freshness and vivacity will complement any dish.
